Natasha Johnson aka TashStar hails from North West London, UK. She became an instant hit after she battled her way through to the finals of the UK Reggae Star Factor talent competition in 2020.

This exposure to a wider audience led to her collaborating with all female band, Akabu Queens. They provided a platform, and TashStar seized the opportunity to shine. 2023 saw her on the international reggae circuit performing at high profile festivals including Rebel Salute (Jamaica), Rototom Sunsplash (Spain), NoLogo (France), Afro Pfingsten Festival (Switzerland), and London’s iconic Jazz Cafe.

Following on from her first single, a reggae cover of Indie Arie’s ‘Steady Love’, TashStar now demonstrates her songwriting skills with an original song. Her vocals float over a heavyweight rhythm backdrop played by Akabu Queens. The combination is pure magic.

‘I’m A Queen’ encourages women to look at themselves in the mirror; to see the beauty within, and love what they see.
